Farewell Janae!

The time has come again to say goodbye to another wifey and friend, Janae.  We have been celebrating and enjoying St. Kitts with her all this week, and are wishing her well on her voyage back to America!  In our fun filled week of St. Kitts adventures, not to mention over a year of past events and tropical memories, hopefully Janae will always look back on St. Kitts with love!  Here is our week!

On Tuesday, we celebrated our THIRD TRIVIA WIN in a row!  This has never happened to any team as far back as I have started playing, and it was a great way to celebrate Janae's final trivia night in St. Kiits!  And of course, we won yet another bottle of rum, which currently sits unopened in my fridge!  And Andee joined us!  What a great night!

On Wednesday, I dragged Janae out of bed at 8pm to take her to her last Karaoke night!  She was eventually appreciative of my efforts, and we had a great time singing and hanging out with the girls!

On Friday and Saturday, I attended a Retreat Weekend called Real Life/Real Impact with our church, Caribbean Christian Fellowship (CCF).  Everyone had an amazing weekend filled with great speakers, amazing food, excellent company, and great messages and learning in the Word of God.  It was an amazing experience that allowed us to be able to apply our giftings, especially those in the field of healthcare, to our Christian walk and daily living.  An unforgettable experience that I am so glad to have been a part of!

I made it home from the Retreat weekend just in time for Janae's going away party!  We played some electronic trivia at the Marriott, hung out with friends, and of course, danced and laughed the night away!  It was great spending time with Janae before she leaves for the good ol' U S of A!

It is now Sunday, and after attending a Retreat Weekend brunch with the Church, I am now relaxing, blogging, and remembering so many fun times had with friends on the Island!  Janae, we wish you love and prayer in your future plans, we love you, and we will miss you!

See you on the reunion cruise!!

Halfway

We're back!  After two exciting weeks in the Great White North, we have arrived back to our new home in the Caribbean.  And I can't say that I mind one bit!  Our home away from home has truly been a blessing to us, and as we have passed the halfway point of our Caribbean journey, we are finding that Island living is pretty amazing!

The first week back is always fun, as Andee is the least busy during this time!  We were able to spend some time at the beach testing out our new boogie board, and hanging out in the ocean!

Andee and I also attended a Dance Central Party at Janae's apartment!  Even the boys got in on the dancing, and showed off their video gaming skills!

The first couple weeks of school also involved some other firsts!  First of all, I started my new Dental Hygiene job in Nevis!  Other than the fact that we get to wear hats with lights attached, everything was pretty much the same as it is in Canada!  And taking the Ferry to work every day is a great conversation starter!  Overall, allowing me to work while living on St. Kitts is an amazing opportunity that God has blessed us with, and I am so thankful that he did!  Pictures to come!

Another first happened this past Tuesday, and I am still overwhelmed by its occurrence!  Our Trivia team WON TWICE IN A ROW!  Winning is unheard of, but a double win??  To make the wins even more sweet, Andee was able to join us for the second win!  As if his first Trivia night would result in a team win!  And to make it even sweeter, we ordered Indian Food!  What a great night!!!

I have also continued to be involved with Worship Team and Bible studies with the church, and am extremely excited for our Retreat Weekend entitled "Real Life Real Impact", which it is designed for students and spouses in the Medical field that want to make a difference in their careers by bringing their faith into their schooling and future jobs.  The retreat is this weekend coming, and we are all super excited to attend!

This week also involved reuniting with the Desperate Housewives and doing what we do best!  While the Hubby's were working hard at school, we entertained ourselves with crafting, dancing, pool, and beach days, as well as keeping the Hubby's full and happy!  Such is the life of the Real Housewives of St. Kitts!

And what has my Andee been up to while the girls have been relaxing?  Take a look for yourself!  And yes, that is a human brain!  Such is the life of a Medical Student!

2 semesters down, 2 semesters to go (on St. Kitts that is).  We are looking forward to our future St. Kitts adventures, as well as our future plans in America and Canada!  Until next time, whether you are in Canada, America, St. Kitts, or anywhere else in the world,  have an amazing week!

Canada Round Two

Although the majority of the time spent in Canada was filled with cold, rainy weather, we still had an amazing time visiting everyone that we missed!

We started the vacation out right with a trip to see our Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre!  We had a great time with Dave and Arielle, and also enjoying what would come to be the warmest day of the entire break!  Go Jays Go!

We celebrated Easter with my family by eating at East Side Marios for Easter Dinner!  East Side Marios is one of the restaurants that Andee and I missed terribly, and so getting to enjoy it with family was just great!

We celebrated "Greek Easter" with Andee's family at Leo and Lisa's house.  We attempted to try every different kind of the mountains of delicious food that was prepared for everyone, and had a great time with everyone in attendance!

As well as continuing the trend of eating McDonald's straight from the airport, Andee and I also managed to eat at almost every fast food and sit down restaurant that we had been craving, which resulted in at least one meal a day (sometimes two) of delicious, Canadian style restaurants!  Call it disgusting, fat, ridiculous, or delicious, but it had to be done!

One of the highlights of our vacation was watching our friend Dave perform in both a choir and as part of a band!  He is the best ever, and his amazing voice, piano skillz, and saxophone jams are just amazing!  We were so happy to see him perform twice over the break, and hope to see him much perform much more in the future!

We celebrated my Grandma's 80th birthday by having our extended family enjoy a buffet brunch at the Mandarin, followed by some tea and snacks at my Auntie Anne's house.  It was great to see everyone that we hadn't seen in months, as well as meet a new addition to the family, Makenna Compton!

We also celebrated Makayla's 2nd birthday/Mothers Day with more extended family, and I was able to meet yet another new addition to the family, Zoey Caesar!  It was one of the few sunny days we had in good ol' Canada, and we certainly enjoyed it!

And, just for your enjoyment, a few more fun photos taken during our Canadian vacation!

Overall, we had a great time enjoying the company of our family, friends, and All-Canadian activities that were lacking on our little Island of St. Kitts.  Speaking of St. Kitts, we are quite enjoying the beautiful sunny and warm weather that accompanies our Island lifestyle.  With more than half of our St. Kitts journey finished, Island enjoyment is more crucial then ever!  Better head to the beach!!
